One small step to one BIG year
January, for many is a time for imagining the great things the year ahead may hold. For many the vision for the year ahead includes getting fit, losing weight, and watching what they eat. In Crossfit these goals mean getting lifting more weight off the ground than we ever had before, or adding 3 rounds onto our Cindy total.
Goal setting is an important element in every athletes training. It motivates us, and it drives us to get to a new place. The benefit of being part of a Crossfit community is that you are not the only one who wants to see you achieve those goals. Yesterday I watched someone at the gym complete their very first kipping pull up(a goal of my own I have yet to attain!) and the reaction was an outburst of cheers and hollering from the rest of the gym! Together we fight through grueling WODS, and together we celebrate our successes. Congratulations to everyone, who set a goal last year and met it, but now it’s time to set those goals again. Nutrition wise we are on pace already the second week into the gym wide 6 week Paleo Challenge. Now it is time to start thinking about your training.
